Cauliflower is having quite a time of it at the moment, being used in so many foods. The once-boring vegetable is now used for rice, pizzas, wings, and all manner of other food items. A video that we watched recently has completely blown our minds, using cauliflower in the most incredible way. Here we discuss what has gone on, and why adding an egg to cauliflower is a game-changer.

Egg And Rice
Cauliflower bits are commonly used as a healthier rice replacement, and understandably so. Adding egg to the mixture will give you a nice, tasty egg-fried rice, but this recipe has a different take on the mixture.
Steaming The Cauliflower
Begin by steaming the grated cauliflower and allowing it to cool before adding the egg here. If you add the egg to the hot cauliflower it will begin to cook. This is not what we are looking for, as we are trying to make a doughy mixture.
Once the cauliflower and the egg are mixed together, add mozzarella or grated cheddar cheese to bind the mixture. This will create a soft dough. Line a baking tray with greaseproof paper, and spread the mixture out. Now bake the mixture at 180 degrees for 15 minutes.
The Grilled Cheese Perfection
Once you take the mixture out of the oven, it will have a soft, bread-like consistency. Cut the mixture into squares, place some more cheese between the two of them, and enjoy a grilled cheese sandwich as you’ve never seen before.
This is great for healthy eaters and those who struggle with gluten intake.
