Many assume that the deodorant and antiperspirant are the same thing.
You might be surprised by the fact that it is not so. Antiperspirants contain chemicals that clog the pores and thereby prevent sweating.
On the other hand, deodorants allow perspiration, but suppress the unpleasant smell of sweat.
Many people think (and it is forced upon us from the advertisements) that unless they use an antiperspirant they will insult the people around them.
Even when using deodorant, which prevents the smell of sweat, they feel uncomfortable because they sweat or think they just mix the smell of sweat with the deodorant.
Despite this opinion, most deodorants not only disguises the smell of sweat, but because of its antiseptic supplements destroy the bacteria that causes the smell.
The negative consequences for the health
Both the antiperspirants and deodorants can have serious consequences for the health.
Many experts in the medical field believe that blocking the pores and preventing sweating is not healthy, because sweating is a natural way to cool down your body.
More than that, it is assumed that the chemical contained in the antiperspirants (e.g., aluminum) can cause cancer and other serious diseases.
Some studies have shown a correlation between regular use of antiperspirants and breast cancer. The risk is even greater if the antiperspirant used immediately after shaving.
Other studies have shown that aluminum is absorbed through the skin into the bloodstream and then accumulates in the brain. Scientists have linked this phenomenon with the increase in Alzheimer’s disease.
Before it was thought that the deodorant is much safer than the antiperspirant.
But recent studies have confirmed the association of parabens, which are contained in many deodorants, with breast cancer. After the autopsy of the body of women dying from breast cancer parabens were found in her breast tissue.
This is sufficient to cause your concerns.
Our recommendation is certainly the use of natural products and eco cosmetics. Whether we like to admit it or not we let some “cosmetic giants” wash our brains with commercials about “organic foods” that contain the “bio-natural” only in their name, and they have no trace of natural ingredients. Arm yourself with knowledge, read the ingredients, gather information about the products and the company that produces them, so you do not become the victim of certain lobbies!
