The DIY (Do It Yourself) trend has really taken off lately, as people are trying to save money and reuse everything instead of throwing it in the garbage.
This video will show you a simple way to reuse old clothes hangers, instead of throwing them away if the plastic breaks.
Plastic hangers can be so annoying, either stretching out your clothes or scratching you up when they inevitably break.
Check out this video from Youtube account cutlerylover, and you will learn how to reuse old plastic hangers even after they have broken. It’s so easy, you won’t believe you didn’t think of this on your own!
The first thing to know is that this only really works with the hangers that have clips on the ends. We’re going to be turning the hanger into a clip for holding bags of chips, dog treats, cereal, really anything closed, so the clip part is pretty important.
So the only real step to this life-hack is to somehow cut off the ends of the hanger with the clips on them. If your hanger is already broken, just make sure as much of the plastic is taken off of the clip as possible. If you can, sand it down so it is nice and smooth.
In the video, he uses a small power-saw to cut his clip off, which is probably the easiest way. You could also just break it off, but again just make sure there are any sharp edges that could cut you.
