In our youth obsessed society, we live like we will never die. Getting older we realize how precious time and health truly are. Hindsight is better than 20/20 vision, but it gives us a calm understanding on events past, out of our reach. It is not too late for those with more expected time.
Take these words to heart and implement them immediately. Tomorrow isn’t promised and if you do live through it, you’ll want to look back and smile at a job well done. No one is expecting ‘perfection’ from you. Just do your best, love your hardest and take care of yourself and those you love.
Love And Accept Yourself More Every Day
The best way to get to know anyone is to approach them with respect, acceptance and love. If you want to maximize your time, then love yourself to the best of your ability, respect yourself as a strong competent person and accept all your aspects. The more you do this, the more you’ll be able to express yourself genuinely.
We all do it, but that doesn’t make it right. There are a lot of external sources trying to prompt comparisons: magazines, television, and fashion, to name a few. Resist and refrain my friend! All comparisons are based off assumptions and illusions. We are people and we all have ‘faults’. You are so focused on yours you can’t see theirs clearly.
Expectations are the perfect way to give our fears power and limit our future options. The future is unknown, so we project our desires and hope. The happiest you will ever be is living in the moment. The future is coming and when it gets here you’ll handle it.
Live To Work, Don’t Work To Live
Don’t forget the money is a means to an end. The money sucks but the food, shelter and creature comforts are nice. Keep in mind that most of the material goods you have, you don’t really need. Everything you’ve bought you paid for with your irreplaceable time. Think about that.
Sometimes everything is perfectly fine until it isn’t. We can easily forget how fast things can get bad. You or someone you love gets ill, your car breaks, a natural disaster occurs. Having a financial pillow can be a lifesaver, not just for you but those you care about as well.
When you stop fighting the idea of impermanence, it’s easier to breathe deep and stop wasting energy. All things are bound to change, nothing lasts forever. It’s easier to face the future, if it’s not what you want it won’t be around forever.
Stop Caring What Others Think
This is a biggie. We give others power us when we care what they think. There is a enough turbulence in everyone’s mind and hearts that you don’t need an ill informed person adding to it.
