Natural Blackhead Remedies You Most Likely have in Your Kitchen
This antibacterial spice creates face masks that not only smell amazing, but remove blackheads with ease. Simple mix two parts honey with one part cinnamon into a paste. Apply it in a thin layer over the blemishes and let it sit for 15 minutes. Wash it away using an all-natural cleanser, and moisturize afterwards. Do this daily to see top results.
Lemon juice has vitamin C, an antioxidant that stimulates skin health and reduces acne scarring, and alpha-hydroxy acid citric acid. It’s perfect for removing dead skin. Simply wash your face with a gentle cleanser. Add a teaspoon of lemon juice to a bowl, and dab the juice directly to the blackheads using a cotton ball. Give it 10 minutes to dry and rinse with cold water. Some people leave the juice on overnight.
Turmeric is an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. If you want to use turmeric for blackheads, you need to use the Kasturi turmeric to avoid staining. Mix some of the Kasturi turmeric with either coconut oil or water into a paste. Dab it onto blackheads, and leave for 10-15 minutes. Wash it off using lukewarm water.
Oatmeal is known to sooth irritation, as well as soak away excess oil and remove dead skin. Simply cook oatmeal in distilled water. Cool it to room temperature, and apply to blackhead areas. Leave for 10-20 minutes, and rinse away using lukewarm water.
Baking soda has antiseptic qualities that are perfect for removing blackheads naturally and easily. Create a paste by mixing a tablespoon of baking soda with some water. Apply it and leave it for 10 minutes, or until dry. Rinse it with lukewarm water. You can use this 1-2 times each week.
Take advantage of the antioxidants and vitamins in green tea. These nutrients will break down oils in the skin while reducing inflammation that is more likely to develop acne. Simply boil 8 ounces of water, and remove it from the heat. Place 2 tea bags into the water, and leave it for an hour. Transfer it to a glass bowl and let it cool to simply warm. Dab it onto your blackheads, and let it set for 10 minutes. Rinse using cool water and pat your face dry.
Epsom salts have a ton of great uses, from easing the sores in your muscles to improving your skin. Epsom salts force the excess oils clogging your pores wash away easily. Exfoliate around your blackheads to get rid of dead skin cells. Mix a teaspoon of Epsom salt with half a cup of hot water. Add 4 iodine drops into the mixture. Stir it well to make the salts dissolve, and then let it cool to warm. Massage the liquid onto your skin and let it dry. Wash the mix off using warm water, pat dry and moisturize.
